Who’s hungry?

1 out of 4 Local Florida Kids suffer without enough food. This is nearly 2X the national average.

If 64% of local elementary school students in South Florida’s wealthiest counties ?eat free breakfast & lunch at school, what do they eat over the weekends? Not enough.

About Living Hungry:

Established April 2016, we are  Living Hungry and we believe we can end food uncertainty for our local children in Florida. Our kids going hungry are more likely to be sick, tired, depressed, experience colds, headaches, impaired focus more often, suffer with behavioral problems, emotional and academic delays - all because they're hungry. So we feed them. Living Hungry together with Meals of Hope have solved the problem for thousands of local kids through innovative weekend backpack programs, carefully constructed to beat the USDA quality nutrition standard and hand-distributed through an efficient supply-chain and a network of collaborative partnerships. All together we turn around the story for our local resilient kids from suffering to living and learning well again. No Local Kid Hungry. Your $5 feed's 1 local child for 1 weekend.  In partnership with Meals of Hope.
